Handling Data (Grade 4)

The number that appears most often.

[2, 3, 3, 5, 7, 3] → mode = 3

Add all and divide by how many.

(2+4+6) ÷ 3 = 4

Biggest minus smallest.

[3, 8, 5, 1, 7] → range = 8−1 = 7

Each |||| / makes 5. ||| means 3.

𝍬 = 5

Range = biggest − smallest. e.g. [3, 8, 5, 1, 7] → 8 − 1 = 7.

[3,8,5,1,7] range = 7

Each picture stands for a count (often 1 or 2).
